NCS
received our shipments of the XRGB-2 Plus upscan converter today and all
orders ship this afternoon. We've compiled a short question and answer sequence
(a FaQ, if you will) to get everyone up to speed on what the product
does, whom it benefits, and why someone would want to spend hard earned
ducats for one.

What is the XRGB-2
Plus?
The XRGB-2 takes video from any source which can output
composite, S-Video, D-Terminal, or RGB (21-pin native or component RGB through
included adapter) and displays the signal on a VGA or XGA monitor. When
connected by RGB signal to a VGA monitor, the results are brilliant colors,
sharp definition, and you'll see the game as the designers probably envisioned
it. When you purchase one and crack open the parcel, it'll look something like
this:

Why get an XRGB-2+
when "$#@" makes a VGA adapter for $50?
All of the VGA adapters in the market only accept
composite and/or S-Video as the highest level of video input. A composite
signal translates poorly to VGA and S-Video isn't much better. Colors are dark
or washed out, text isn't as clear as it should be, and you're better off
saving the $50 by connecting the console directly to your television.
If you're a discerning player who goes for the best, the XRGB-2
Plus provides a superb consumer-level solution for high quality video.

So, if I decide to
buy an XRGB-2, I should only use RGB cables?
Yes, we recommend purchasing the XRGB-2 only if you are using
RGB (Japan standard RGB, not European SCART) or D-terminal (Japan
standard only) cables with your console. Using S-Video or composite video with
the XRGB-2 is a waste and not recommended. In fact, we steadfastly forbid
it.
